Last Harbor is set in the aftermath of a collapse. Humanity has fallen, the undead roam the land, and the few who remain have taken to the sea in search of safety. The water keeps the dead at bay, so the survivors' boats have become their homes, their workshops, and their final refuge.

The game takes place in the San Juan Islands of Washington State, a real cluster of islands in the Pacific Northwest. tinyBuild has described the setting as inspired by true events: members of the team spent the lockdown of 2020 on a boat anchored in those islands, fishing and exploring quiet, seemingly abandoned town centers while keeping their distance from other people.
A World on the Water
That feeling of dread amid beauty shapes the whole experience. Survivors drift through an archipelago that is calm on the surface and lethal underneath, where the sense of isolation is the point. The sea is safe only for so long, and the ruined islands still hold everything a survivor needs. The geography of this world is covered in Exploration and the Islands.
Living Among the Survivors
You are not alone on the water. Other survivors crew their own boats, and the world is shared, so they can become allies or rivals. Guarded harbors give people a place to trade and regroup, but out in the open, trust is scarce. How the living deal with one another is described in Multiplayer and PvP.
Specific in-world locations and named characters have not yet been revealed. This page reflects only what tinyBuild has confirmed about the premise.
