Puddlipup

Overview

Puddlipup (No. 001) is a 4-star Anima with the Satiation Aspect and the Striker Trait in beta-era community listings (HoYoverse publishes no rarity, Trait or compendium number for any Anima). In community numbering it is the first Anima, and it was one of the five Anima handed to every player in the tutorial of the Nexus Bond Test build, alongside Pupanoo, Nomnom, Vulberry, and Rimechime.

Combat Role

As a reported Striker, Puddlipup fills the single-target physical damage dealer role in Auto-Chess Combat. Its Satiation Aspect contributes to Satiation synergies when deployed alongside other Satiation Anima like Nomnom, Vulberry, and Pupanoo.

Traversal Ability

Outside of combat, Puddlipup is a mount with a unique bounce ability. It is a jump pad, launching the player high into the air to reach elevated platforms and areas that would otherwise be inaccessible. This makes Puddlipup one of the more useful early-game Anima for vertical exploration.

Design

Puddlipup is one of the roster's cute, rounded designs: a pudding puppy that, in its official description, often gets flattened by the pressures of life, a quirk players can turn to their advantage by using it as a jump pad. Its soft, bouncy round design is consistent with the food-themed visual direction of many Anima in the game.
