Revision 9

Overview

Kiana is a crossover character from a sibling HoYoverse title who appears in Honkai: Nexus Anima as a Planestrider a dimensional traveler who moves between Planes to address situations where Aspects have collapsed or destabilized. The Chinese-language description strongly suggests this is the same Kiana Kaslana from the source title, not an alternate version, who has crossed into the dimension where Nexus Anima takes place.

She currently works on behalf of the Committee for a Joyful Iia (the town's municipal authority) dealing with an Aspect Fracture near the town. Aspect Fractures are unstable phenomena where the fundamental principles of a Plane begin to collapse, threatening the local environment and population. Her casual clothes, silver braid, and cheerful demeanor disguise someone with far more experience than the average Animaster.

Kardia Ability

Kiana is a 4-star Kardia character. Beta coverage names her Exclusive Principle as Man's Best Friend. When she leads a battle, she is reported to summon a Puddliking a stronger variant of Puddlipup to the front line to fight alongside the player's Anima. This gives the team an extra body on the field without using a deployment slot, making her useful for teams that need additional frontline presence.

Companion Anima

Kiana's companion Anima is Puddlipup, a dog-like pudding creature classified as a Striker with a Satiation Aspect. Puddlipup is one of the five starting tutorial Anima that every player receives. Its body can flatten under pressure, but it uses this trait to bounce high into the sky, functioning as a jump pad during exploration to launch the player to elevated platforms.

Crossover Origin

Kiana Kaslana was the protagonist of a sibling HoYoverse title, where her story spanned years of updates. Her appearance in Nexus Anima as a cross-dimensional traveler fits with the direction her character took in that earlier game's later chapters. She was one of two characters shown in the first teaser PV at a HoYoverse LIVE Concert in May 2025, alongside Blade. Her presence alongside Blade suggests Nexus Anima is a literal nexus connecting different Honkai timelines.

Official Profile

The official profile on the game's global site reads: A Planestrider who roams far and wide. Currently dealing with Anima corrupted by Aspect contamination on behalf of the Committee for a Joyful Iia.
