Overview
Infinite Vortex is a replayable game mode in Honkai: Nexus Anima that was available during the Nexus Bond Test (first beta). It functions as a repeatable challenge mode where players progress through a series of auto-chess combat encounters with branching decision points between fights.
Branching choices
Unlike the linear progression of story battles, Infinite Vortex presents players with choices at key junctures. These decisions affect which encounters come next, what rewards are available, and how the run ultimately ends. The branching structure means different playthroughs can follow different paths, giving the mode replay value beyond just fighting stronger enemies.

Divergent endings
Runs in Infinite Vortex can end in different ways depending on the choices made throughout. The multiple endings encourage players to experiment with different decision paths across runs rather than optimizing a single route.
Replayable checkpoints
The mode includes a checkpoint system that lets players restart from specific points in a run rather than beginning from scratch every time. This reduces the frustration of losing deep into a run and allows players to explore different branches without repeating early sections they've already cleared.
Post-beta changes
The post-beta DevTalk specifically mentioned Infinite Vortex as a mode receiving an overhaul before launch. The developers plan to rework the mode with improved branching choices and replayable checkpoints. The beta version was functional but apparently didn't reach the depth the team was aiming for. New questlines tied to the Nexus Association and Nexus Syndicate factions are also planned for integration with the mode.
