The Guns of Eschaton demo is a standalone adventure released on October 5, 2026. It introduces the game's first-person soulslike gunfights, enemies, exploration, and a boss. The demo was made specifically for this version and is separate from the campaign's opening chapter.
What the demo contains
The playable area shows one part of the game world. Some enemies have been moved into this area to demonstrate a wider range of combat than their normal full-game placement would show. The adventure includes a boss at the end.
Players study enemy weaknesses, choose ammunition, and use calculated parries and dashes. The demo also allows experimentation with different weapons and abilities. These systems introduce the deliberate actions described in Combat.
Differences from the full game
The complete game is planned with more regions and a map larger than the demo area. Its arsenal, builds, progression, enemy variety, factions, locations, and occult powers extend beyond this standalone adventure. The announced total of more than 20 weapons refers to the full game.
The demo's modified encounters do not establish where those enemies will appear in the campaign. Its launch date also does not replace the full game's planned 2026 PC window; see Release Date and Platforms.
Graphics issue
On October 6, 2026, the developers acknowledged a graphics auto-detection issue that can set lower-end hardware to Epic and cause low frame rates. They recommended manually selecting a Low or Medium graphics preset while a hotfix was being prepared. Known Issues and Fixes records the workaround and the separate FOV feedback.
Languages
Turkish, Korean, Latin American Spanish, and Traditional Chinese were added to the supported languages ahead of the demo. See Languages and Accessibility for the current PC language list and advertised accessibility features.
