Guns of Eschaton grew from an experiment in making soulslike combat work in first person. Its early mechanics centered on timing, parries, committing to a shot, and making every bullet matter. Viktor Antonov shaped the project's visual direction, lore, worldbuilding, and creative identity.
The first prototype
Fuad Kuliev initially wanted to learn Unreal Engine and brought Dima a small design document. Dima instead proposed programming what Fuad designed. They built a first demo after a couple of weeks, and the experiment became a continuing project in 2022.
Boris joined next and handled administrative work from the start. The team then contacted Viktor Antonov and met with him. Eschatology Entertainment was founded by Cyprus-based game developers in 2022.
Viktor Antonov's contributions
Viktor was a studio cofounder and the game's Visual Director from the beginning. He built and led the art department as well as shaping its visual direction and world. Guns of Eschaton was his final project and serves as a tribute to him.
Fuad Kuliev is Chief Executive Officer and Creative Director. Viktor Antonov (1972-2025) was Visual Director.
