Weapons sit at the center of Guns & Dragons. The Steam page promises a wide arsenal of over 45 bows and firearms, each with its own feel, and says every weapon can be pushed far beyond its original design through upgrades. The Steam page also says players can fine-tune their firearms' functions and settings ahead of each expedition.
Weapon Classes
As of October 2026 there are two weapon classes: firearms, which were in the first playtest, and bows, which arrived with the second playtest in September 2026. Bows are the second weapon class after firearms.

Type | Where it is confirmed |
|---|---|

Sniper rifles | Steam store page |
SMGs | Named by the director in an August 2026 interview |
Bows
Bows were added for the second playtest (September 17 to 30, 2026) alongside the character Eryn. The studio's announcement listed 23 new bows across Slots 1 through 5 in four distinct families, each of which plays differently. Official video copy says bows and crossbows deal lethal damage from a distance with some serious elemental power. Korean press coverage of the second playtest added that fired arrows stay embedded in enemies or terrain, and certain weapons can shatter them to trigger extra effects.
Bow family | Notes |
|---|---|
Elven Bows | One of the four families introduced in the second playtest |
Heavy Bows | One of the four families introduced in the second playtest |
Crossbows | Also named on the Steam store page |

The store page also names longbows among the weapon types.
How a Weapon Evolves
At the reveal in July 2026, the studio said each run starts with a regular gun or bow that is then pushed far beyond its original design through upgrades and enchanted engineering. It listed enchanted ammunition, relics, runes and weapon upgrades as the pieces that combine into different builds.

In his gamescom 2026 interview, director Park Jun-woo explained that the game deliberately avoids constantly swapping weapons during a run. Instead, players keep evolving the weapon they chose. Cores taken from other weapons can still feed into the current one, so a player who likes an SMG can keep upgrading it even if no better SMG drops. Coverage of the May 2026 unveiling likewise described weapons evolving into different forms by combining runes and cores found in battle.

Blacksmith Enhancement
The director described blacksmith enhancement as practically the only way to raise a weapon by more than one rarity tier. With enough gold, it can take a Normal weapon all the way to Legendary. In the first playtest, enhancement was expensive and risky, and players often got only one attempt before failing. The director later said the cost had been cut from around 200 gold to roughly 50 gold and the system reworked to allow multiple attempts.
Characters and Weapons
Weapons are not tied to characters. The studio's post announcing the second playtest invited players to give Sieg a bow or Eryn a gun, and the director confirmed that any character can use any weapon class.
Possible Future Weapons
As of August 2026 the director said melee and throwing weapons, such as swords, blades and shuriken, were next on the team's list, and that a Mage class using magic staves had been discussed internally. These were described as ideas and long-term goals, not announced features. He also said there were no set DLC plans.
