Updated with all confirmed songs from both trailers and in-game social media app details
Grand Theft Auto VI's soundtrack has only been partially revealed through official trailers and promotional materials. Rockstar has not released the full radio station lineup or complete song list.
The following songs have been heard in official trailers:
Song | Artist | Appeared In |
|---|---|---|
"Love Is a Long Road" | Tom Petty | Trailer 1 |
"Hot Together" | The Pointer Sisters | Trailer 2 |
"Everybody Have Fun Tonight" | Wang Chung | Trailer 2 |
Additional songs have been identified by community analysis of Trailer 2 audio, including tracks by Jay Ferguson, Zenglen, Tammy Wynette, and The Arrows. However, these have not been officially confirmed by Rockstar and could be placeholder or trailer-only selections.
V-Rock, the rock radio station from the original GTA: Vice City (2002) and Vice City Stories (2006), is confirmed to return. Jason is seen wearing a V-Rock t-shirt in official screenshots, confirming the station's presence. V-Rock originally played 1980s hair metal and hard rock; its modern incarnation's playlist has not been revealed.
No other radio stations have been officially named. Previous GTA games typically featured 15 to 20 stations covering genres from hip-hop and pop to talk radio and classical. A similar variety is expected for GTA VI but has not been confirmed.
The game's in-game social media apps include video content with audio. The TikTok-style platform shown in trailers features user-generated clips with music and sound. Whether players can interact with or curate this audio content is not known.
Trailer 1's use of Tom Petty's "Love Is a Long Road" caused a roughly 37,000% increase in the song's Spotify streams overnight. Trailer 2's "Hot Together" by The Pointer Sisters also saw a significant streaming boost. GTA soundtracks have historically revived interest in older tracks; GTA: Vice City's 1980s soundtrack was a cultural touchpoint when it released in 2002.
