Players who have save data from the earlier entries in the Remake series unlock bonus content in Revelation. A save from Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade grants a Chocobo and Moogle Summon Materia, while a save from Final Fantasy VII Rebirth grants a Phoenix Summon Materia.
Revelation was revealed in June 2026 with a cinematic reveal trailer and an extended gameplay introduction, presented by director Naoki Hamaguchi alongside Matt Mercer, the English voice of Vincent Valentine.
