Cid Highwind is the cantankerous pilot of the airship Highwind and one of two characters who become fully playable for the first time in Final Fantasy VII Revelation.

As the party's aviator, Cid is closely tied to the airship that carries the group across the world during their journey.

In Battle

Cid fights with a lance and can control the tempo of a battle, quickly closing the distance for powerful single-target strikes or shifting to sweeping area-of-effect attacks. He uses the hybrid battle system and the job-inspired FITS system like the rest of the party.

Character

The reveal leaned into his bravado with the introduction: 'The Leaping Lancer, the Dashing Dragoon, the one and only Cid Highwind!' His home, Rocket Town, was among the locations shown during the gameplay presentation.
