Carbuncle is a support esper unlocked through Ruby Cave. Inspect the gravestone there, then gather the three Ruby Fragments in order. Look for blue sparkles at each location.
Ruby Fragment route
Order | Location |
|---|---|
1 | Between the two lakes southeast of Rukh Cave. |
2 | On the path southwest of the Sanctum of Squall, northeast of the first fragment. |
3 | West of Olderion: cross two wooden bridges and climb the grassy rise. |
Return to the gravestone after collecting all three fragments.
Support effects
Carbuncle costs 50 MP to summon. Healing Ruby restores the party's HP and grants Regen for five turns. Ruby Light grants the party Reflect for three turns, returning magic cast at protected allies.
