Revision 1

A free demo of Edge of Memories was available on Steam from June 15 to June 30, 2026, as part of Steam Next Fest. It covered the opening hours of the game, the first chapter, in which Eline meets Ysoris. The demo introduced the world, the story, the main characters and the basics of Combat.

The demo was time-limited. A June 26, 2026 developer update said it would stop working after June 30, even for players who had already downloaded it.

In its June 26, 2026 update, the team listed the feedback it had received and what it planned to change. Later posts confirmed some of those changes for launch.

Return in November

When the release date moved to December 3, 2026, the team was reported to have said that the demo would return to Steam in early November 2026, with the Steam Next Fest content plus the changes made since. Release details are on the Release Date and Platforms page.

Earlier Hands-On

Before the Steam demo, the first public hands-on took place at Nacon's booth at gamescom 2025 in August 2025. The Development History page covers that event and the rest of the pre-release timeline, and the demo's two promotional videos are listed on the Trailers page.
