DUST: Origins is a single-player isometric action-horror shooter from Airship Syndicate, the studio behind Darksiders and Battle Chasers, revealed at Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 25, 2026 alongside a Kickstarter campaign. Players wake from cryo aboard Limbo-6, the orbital processing platform above the prison planet Dross, and have to reach an escape pod before the station tears itself apart, through a murderer's row of violent criminals and worse things besides. Ammunition is scarce enough that positioning and conservation matter, scavenging covers ammo, crafting materials and hidden items, and enemy behaviour has to be watched and exploited rather than simply out-shot. Choices carry weight: survivors can be helped or abandoned, routes branch, and the game has multiple endings, with a New Game Plus that unlocks stashed items and raises the difficulty. It is self-published and planned for PC in early 2027.
