Overview

Warrior's Soul Cave (also called Warrior's Soul Cavern) is a hidden cave in Crimson Desert located behind a waterfall in Drywind Valley, northeast of the Demeniss region. The cave is notable for containing the Dark Marksman's Plate Cloak, one of the most visually striking armor pieces in the game. It is one of several waterfall caves scattered across Pywel that require the Stab ability to enter.

Location

Warrior's Soul Cave is situated in Drywind Valley, east through the Demeniss region. The journey from the nearest settlement takes roughly 20 to 30 minutes on horseback along main roads. Players heading northeast from Demeniss proper will eventually reach a river running through Drywind Valley. The waterfall that conceals the cave entrance is located along this river, north of the valley floor.

The cave entrance is hidden directly behind the cascading water. From a distance, there is no visible indication that a cave exists behind the waterfall. Players need to ride or walk up to the base of the falls and look for the rocky path that leads into the water curtain.

How to Enter

Warrior's Soul Cave cannot be entered by simply walking through the waterfall. The force of the water pushes the player character back. To get through, you must use the Stab ability (R1 + Triangle on PlayStation, RB + Y on Xbox) to thrust through the curtain of water and into the cave beyond.

This is the same mechanic used at other waterfall caves in Crimson Desert, such as the entrance to Frostclaw Cave (which contains the Plate Boots of the Shadows) and several others across the Hernand and Pailune regions. If you have unlocked the Stab skill, you already have everything you need to enter.

Interior

The interior of Warrior's Soul Cave is straightforward. There are no enemies to fight and no puzzles to solve. The cave is a short corridor that opens into a small chamber containing multiple treasure chests and collectible items.

Loot

Dark Marksman's Plate Cloak

The Dark Marksman's Plate Cloak is the primary reason most players seek out this cave. It offers 3 Defense and Fire Resistance Lv. 3, but its real appeal is cosmetic. The cloak is full black, drapes all the way down the character's back, and includes a distinctive built-in plate mask that overwrites whatever helmet the player is wearing. The result is a hooded, masked look that many players consider one of the coolest visual styles in the game.

According to the item's description, the cloak was once worn by Samara, the Sandwatcher. The fabric is "heavily permeated with the stench of gunpowder" and "dyed with a pitch black color, making it impossible to tell if it is actually stained with gunpowder." This lore connects the cloak to the broader narrative of Crimson Desert's marksman and ranged combat traditions.

Nearby Points of Interest

Drywind Valley and the surrounding northeast Demeniss area contain several other points of interest for explorers:

• Demeniss proper, the regional capital, is southwest of the cave and serves as the closest hub for vendors, blacksmiths, and quest givers.

• The Demeniss Region features a variety of environmental challenges including cold weather zones and hostile wildlife.

• Other waterfall caves across Pywel use the same Stab-through-waterfall mechanic and often contain armor pieces or other valuable loot.

Tips

• Make sure you have the Stab ability unlocked before traveling to this location. Without it, you cannot enter the cave.

• The cave has no enemies or puzzles. Once inside, simply collect the loot and leave.

• The Dark Marksman's Plate Cloak has a known visual glitch: chained spears appear on the character's back after gliding. Removing and re-equipping the cloak temporarily fixes this until you glide again.

• If you are building a fire-resistant loadout, the Fire Resistance Lv. 3 on this cloak is among the highest single-piece fire resistance values in the game.
