Overview

Upper Nas River is the source of the Nas River in the Hernand region. The river originates in high mountains covered in snow year-round, with naturally purified water from underground springs. The river is well known for never freezing, even in the depths of winter. Water clarity improves and fish abundance increases as one travels upstream through this mountainous terrain.

Location

The upper reaches of the Nas River are found in the mountainous terrain at the river's source. The area offers some of the best fishing in the region due to the cleaner water and greater fish abundance found at higher elevations.
