The Unreachable Village is a faction quest tied to the Pororin Forest Guardians, part of the Trembling Woods quest line. The Shai, childlike forest spirits who protect the Pororin Forest south of Hernand, initially block entry to their village by firing tranquilizer darts at any intruders. After being darted multiple times, a Shai girl named Arkin appears and offers Kliff a way to earn the village's trust by retrieving a lost relic from a giant walking tree.

When you first approach Pororin Forest, the Pororin Patrol will sleep-dart you. Even sneaking past the floating flower basket sentries will result in getting darted, and you will wake up at the Outcast's Hearth camp. This sequence repeats three times regardless of your approach. After the third failed entry, Arkin will appear nearby sitting on a tree stump.
Arkin explains that her people need their chief's hat recovered from a giant walking tree (an Ent). Accept her request and follow the quest marker southeast to find the Ent wandering the area. Rather than trying to climb the Ent's legs from the ground, look for nearby cliffs to gain elevation and glide onto the tree trunk. The Ent's legs are climbable, but the technique requires patience: grab one leg, wait for the Ent to lift it, and rest on the raised limb to restore stamina before continuing upward along the torso.
At the crown of the tree, use a lantern to spot the hat glowing faintly in the canopy. Pick up the Relic of Pororin. You can jump from the head to a nearby cliff face rather than climbing all the way back down. Speak with Arkin one last time to hand over the relic and complete the quest.

Do not fight the Shai sentries. The sleep darts are unavoidable during the initial three encounters and are scripted.
The Ent moves slowly but constantly. Time your jumps and use the glider if you have it equipped for easier positioning.
After completing this quest, Florindale becomes a useful hub. The Research Institute here provides gathering buffs that stack with food bonuses.
Return to Pororin after completing the main Trembling Woods quest line for additional Shai-related side content.
