Spire of Insight

The Spire of Insight is a challenge located in the Steel Mountains of southeastern Hernand. It is a multi-floor puzzle tower where each level presents a riddle that must be solved by finding specific objects and placing them in a golden bowl. There are no combat encounters inside the tower. Completing all five floors grants access to an Abyss Gate leading to the Chaos Forest within the Path of Providence.
The Spire of Insight is situated east of a small lake and the Eastern Goblin Camp in the Steel Mountains. You must first complete the Toll of Pywel challenge to reveal this section of the map. The tower is initially covered in thick, thorny roots that block all access.
To clear the roots blocking the entrance, use Blinding Flash: Concentrated Light or any fire source on the vines. Once burned away, you can enter the tower.
Riddle: "When the bones of the earth awaken from their long silence and find their place, time begins to flow once more."
Solution: Pick up the small pebble scattered near the doorstep at the entrance of the gate. Place the pebble in the bowl on the door to open it.
Riddle: "Even after many years have passed, the traces left behind revive forgotten tales."
Solution: Find the small gravestone on the desk below the painting. Return to the platform and place the gravestone in the large golden bowl.
Riddle: A riddle about observation and recording.
Solution: Locate a telescope on a nearby desk and a pen tip from a back room. Place both items in the golden bowl to advance.
Riddle: "The dancing of the heavens, the turning of the earth, and the march of time all point to a single truth."
Solution: Find three items scattered on and between the shelves: a Sundial, a Small Map Rotator, and a Celestial globe. Place all three items in the bowl to proceed.
The top floor contains an Abyss Gate portal. Enter the portal to complete the Spire of Insight challenge. This transports you to the Chaos Forest within the Path of Providence.
Search every desk, shelf, and corner of each floor thoroughly. Some items are small and easy to miss.
There is no combat in this tower, so you can take your time exploring.
This challenge is part of the Hernand's Politics quest line and rewards Iron Ore x10 upon quest completion.
