The Secret Chamber of the Golden Plains is a hidden mural puzzle in the Demeniss region of Crimson Desert. Unlike most Ancient Ruins puzzles, this challenge requires players to explore five separate locations across Demeniss, interpret a flipped mural, and press the correct combination of symbol blocks inside a trapped underground chamber. Completing it rewards the Memories of Prosperity consumable, an Abyss Artifact, and a permanent Abyss Cresset fast travel point.
The secret chamber is located in the Golden Plains area of Demeniss, near Byron Estate. On the world map, head north of the first "E" in "Demeniss" to find an Abyss Nexus fast travel point. The entrance is a destroyed ruin covered in thorny vines, located south of wooden palisades near Honeywood Apiary and Windmere Manor.
It is recommended to complete Chapter 8: Blood Coronation before attempting this puzzle. Hostile troops patrol the Golden Plains during earlier chapters and will interfere with exploration, though reaching the chamber is still possible before that point.
The entrance to the chamber is blocked by thorny vines that must be burned away. There are two methods:
Fire arrows: Light an arrow using one of the braziers near the wooden palisades. Sprint toward the vine-covered ruin while aiming, then shoot the vines to set them on fire and clear the entrance.
Blinding Flash (Concentrated Light): Use the Concentrated Light variant of your Blinding Flash ability to burn the vines directly.
Once inside, be prepared for several hazards:
Small white mushrooms line the floor in certain passages. Avoid stepping on them to prevent damage.
Flame traps activate in narrow corridors. Watch for visual cues on the ground and move through gaps between fire bursts.
Spiked pit blocks the path in one room. Use the rope/zipline overhead by targeting the handle above with your lantern, then traverse across.
After navigating the traps and a water-filled passage, you will reach the main chamber containing the symbol wall and the mural.
The main chamber features a wall covered in symbol blocks (depicting animals, fruits, and other images) alongside a separate mural in an adjacent room. The mural shows a map of the Demeniss region with five locations marked in red.
Important: The mural is flipped horizontally compared to the actual world map. The capital city appears to the north on the mural, but it is actually in the south on your in-game map. Keep this in mind when matching mural spots to real locations.
Each red-marked location on the mural corresponds to a real place in Demeniss. You are not looking for runes, glyphs, or written symbols at these locations. Instead, observe the livestock, crops, and wildlife present at each site. The animals and produce you see at these five locations match the symbols on the wall blocks inside the chamber.
Press the following five symbol blocks on the wall. The order does not matter; you simply need to push all five correct blocks.

Some guides list the third symbol as "pomegranate" while others call it "fig." Both names refer to the same block in the center of the middle row.
There are multiple ways to activate the symbol blocks:
Force Palm (climbing method): Climb up to a block and use Force Palm to push it. This works but sends Kliff flying backward a significant distance, making it slow and frustrating for all five blocks.
Axiom Force with Force Current (recommended): Use Axiom Force to target the desired block from the ground, then activate Force Current to push it from a distance. This is much faster and avoids the knockback issue entirely.
When a block is pushed correctly, it will sink into the wall with a visual and audio confirmation. Push all five correct blocks, and the wall will part open to reveal the hidden room.

Tip: Before solving the puzzle, explore the chamber thoroughly. A hidden treasure room exists in one of the corners and contains additional loot worth picking up.
Visit the mural room first. Before pressing any blocks, walk into the adjacent chamber to study the mural and note the five red-marked locations on the map.
Use your world map for reference. Open the in-game map and compare the five mural spots to real Demeniss locations. Remember that the mural is horizontally flipped.
You do not need to visit all five locations. If you already know the solution (Grapes, Horse, Fig, Bird, Fish), you can press the blocks directly without traveling to the clue sites.
Bring fire capabilities. Whether you use fire arrows or Blinding Flash, make sure you have a way to burn the entrance vines before you arrive. Running back to find a brazier wastes time.
Watch for the treasure room. The chamber has a hidden corner with extra loot. Search the area before completing the puzzle, as the chamber layout may change after activation.
