Critical correction: tied to Lyselia (Witch of Humility) in Delesyia, NOT Bari/Hernand
Sanctum of Devotion is a Sanctum exploration challenge in Crimson Desert and one of four sanctums tied to Lyselia, the Witch of Humility. It sits in the Delesyia region, in the Hushwind Hills just northwest of the Cliff of Despair near Dewhaven. The sanctum has been overrun by Antumbra corruption and must be cleansed by wiping out its occupying enemies and repairing its central reactor device using two Fusion Reactor Core fragments hidden inside the ruins. Cleansing it advances Lyselia's sanctum chain alongside the Sanctum of Veneration, Sanctum of Oblation, and Sanctum of Faith.
Property | Details |

Sub-area | Hushwind Hills (near Dewhaven) |
Nearest landmark | Cliff of Despair (sanctum is northwest of it) |
Faction | Witches of Pywel |
Associated witch | Lyselia, the Witch of Humility |
Quest chain | Lyselia's Sanctums (Devotion, Veneration, Oblation, Faith) |
Prerequisite | Listen to the request from the Witch of Humility (meet Lyselia first) |
Key tools | Axiom Force, Kuku Pot, Force Palm |
The sanctum is reached by approaching from the northwest along the road that terminates at its entrance. From Dewhaven on the Delesyia map, the icon sits just southwest of the D in Dewhaven, inside the Hushwind Hills ridge. There is no dedicated fast travel point right next to it at the start, so travelers typically fly or ride in from the Cliff of Despair side across water.
The sanctum unlocks after meeting Lyselia, the Witch of Humility, and listening to her request. Lyselia is one of the five witches introduced through the Witches of Pywel sub-questline. Her sanctum chain (Devotion, Veneration, Oblation, Faith) becomes available once Lyselia has issued her plea. Players can physically travel to the sanctum before meeting her, but cleansing will not register credit with Lyselia until her introduction dialogue has been completed.
Clear the outer sanctum of Antumbra invaders. The area is swarmed with Antumbra enemies; defeating them brings the corruption percentage from 100% down to 0%. AOE weapons such as Darkbringer combined with Abyss Gears speed this up considerably.
Enter the main courtyard. To the left of the central device, take the stone steps leading into a small side building.
Recover Fusion Reactor Core LI-IV (the pillar piece). Inside the rear hall of that building, climb the stone statue of wolves. Turn around to face back toward the door you entered through and look up: a broken pillar fragment floats above the doorframe. Grab it with Axiom Force, then press Triangle/Y to seal it inside your Kuku Pot.
Recover Fusion Reactor Core XIV (the cube block). At the end of the same hall, climb the stone pillar and look at the crack in the left wall. Use Axiom Force on the crack to latch onto the block inside, then seal it into the Kuku Pot.
Restore the cube to the device. Return to the central courtyard device and locate the empty battery slot on its northeast / left side. Open the Kuku Pot in your inventory and discard Fusion Reactor Core XIV. Grab it with Axiom Force and float it into the empty hole. When green leaves swirl around it, enter Focus (L3+R3), then Force Palm Focus (R3) to punch the block home.
Restore the pillar piece. Look left for the broken pillar near the device. Discard Fusion Reactor Core LI-IV from the Kuku Pot, grab it with Axiom Force, and set it on top of the broken pillar. Rotate it until green petals swirl around it, indicating the correct orientation. Climb on top, jump, and slam with a jumping Force Palm to lock it into place.
Speak with Lyselia. The sanctum cleansing cutscene triggers automatically. If it does not, step onto the lit square in the courtyard center.
The sanctum's occupants are Antumbra corruption spirits. There is no dedicated boss encounter at this sanctum. AOE weapons and Abyss Gear loadouts (Darkbringer is a community favorite) are recommended for the clear.
Reward | Notes |
|---|---|
Blueprint II: Kuku Cold-Resistant Armor | Sanctum completion reward. Requires you to already own the Frostcursed Plate Armor; further enhances it through the Enhanced Kuku Pot. |
Skyblazer Cloth Armor | Hidden treasure chest reward. Found by climbing the outside wall of the side building after retrieving the first Fusion Core. Cling to the wall with L2, then Force Palm into the building from above. |
Lyselia questline progress | One of four sanctums needed to fully complete Lyselia's chain |
Cleanse the outer area fully before starting the puzzle. Any leftover Antumbra will interrupt Axiom Force casts and Force Palm slams.
Bring high AOE damage to speed up the clear phase.
Seal both Fusion Reactor Cores in the Kuku Pot rather than dragging them. The pillar piece in particular cannot fit through the building door.
Grab the Skyblazer Cloth Armor chest on your first visit. It requires a small wall-cling and Force Palm detour that is easy to miss.
Green swirling leaves or petals are the in-world confirmation that a puzzle piece is in the correct position. Do not slam with Force Palm until you see them.
Lyselia's chain has four sanctums total: Devotion, Veneration, Oblation, and Faith. Doing them in any order works, but completing all four is required.
