Rock Tusk Warthog is a legendary warthog mount in Crimson Desert. Originally available as a temporary mount, it became a permanent legendary summonable mount with Patch 1.01.00. Unlike the three legendary animal mounts (Silver Fang, White Bear, and Snowwhite Deer), the Rock Tusk Warthog is obtained by defeating a boss rather than hunting a wild animal.
The Rock Tusk Warthog functions as a battering ram. It has a devastating charge attack that plows through groups of enemies, and in short bursts it is very fast. With 800 HP and 200 Stamina, it has solid durability and excellent endurance for sustained riding. However, its 100 Attack stat is somewhat modest, and unlike the White Bear or Silver Fang, it does not fight automatically when the player dismounts. It simply stands in place.
The Rock Tusk Warthog has fixed stats. The table below lists its base attributes.
Stat | Value |
|---|---|
HP | 800 |
200 | |
Attack | 100 |
Mount Type | Legendary (permanent summonable) |
Species | Warthog |
Speed | Fast in short bursts (charge burns stamina) |

The Rock Tusk Warthog is obtained by completing the "Savage Fang" quest, which falls under the "Lords of the Unclaimed Land" questline tied to the Crimson Desert region. The boss fight takes place at Bore Dig Ruins, identifiable on the world map by a small icon of a figure riding a boar. The ruins are located directly south of the "I" in the "Crimson Desert" text on the map, to the right of Demeniss, near the edge of the map.
The fight against Ravoc is a two-phase encounter:
Phase 1: Travel to Bore Dig Ruins and clear the enemies in the area. Eventually the boss, a rider mounted on the warthog, will appear. Fight Ravoc and deplete his first health bar. Once depleted, the boss disappears and retreats.
Phase 2: Go to a small island of water nearby. You will receive a quest to track the boar rider. Use the lantern to follow his trail, or simply wait at the location for him to patrol back to you. Once he reappears, engage in the full boss fight. Defeat Ravoc to obtain the key item.
After defeating the boss, take the key item to a Witch NPC. Under "Craft Abyss Gear," navigate to the special items tab and craft a sigil. Consuming the sigil permanently registers the Rock Tusk Warthog as a summonable mount.
The Rock Tusk Warthog's signature ability is its powerful charge attack:
Charge: The warthog charges forward at high speed, plowing through enemies in its path and sending them flying. This charge is extremely fast in short bursts but burns stamina rapidly. It is the warthog's defining move, useful for both engaging and disengaging from fights as well as covering ground quickly.
One significant limitation is that the Rock Tusk Warthog does not fight automatically when the player dismounts. Unlike the White Bear and Silver Fang, which actively engage enemies on their own, the warthog simply stands idle when the rider is not mounted. This means the warthog functions purely as a mounted combat and transport tool, not as an independent combat companion.
Strengths:
Devastating charge attack that plows through groups of enemies
Very fast in short bursts during charge; excellent for closing gaps or fleeing
200 Stamina provides good endurance for sustained riding and repeated charges
800 HP gives respectable durability in combat
Permanent summonable mount; available from anywhere at any time
Weaknesses:
Does NOT fight automatically when dismounted; just stands idle
100 Attack is relatively modest for a legendary mount
Charge burns stamina quickly; sustained charging is not possible without rest
Requires a two-phase boss fight to obtain, which is more involved than hunting the animal mounts
Less versatile than the White Bear for raw combat, and slower than horses for extended travel

White Bear - Legendary bear mount; best for raw combat
