The Riding Set is the four-piece riding outfit in Crimson Desert: Riding Hat, Riding Attire, Riding Cloak, and Riding Boots. After Patch 1.04.00 each piece grants +1 Horse XP Gain, bringing the full-set bonus to +4 Horse XP Gain, roughly doubling the pre-patch total.

What the Set Does

Each piece carries Horse Taming Difficulty and Horse XP Gain modifiers, both surfaced explicitly on tooltips after Patch 1.04.00. With all four pieces equipped the +1 bonuses stack additively to a +4 total, which noticeably shortens the in-game time required to reach full trust with a horse and to level a horse's skill set. Pre-1.04 the set capped at +3 because the hat tooltip did not list a Horse XP modifier; the patch closed that gap and rebalanced the set as a unified four-piece bonus.

Where to Get the Pieces

• Riding Cloak: sold at the Back Alley Shop in Pailune once trust with that vendor reaches level 100. This is the most reliable path to closing out the set in late game.

• The remaining pieces (hat, chest, boots) are obtainable through standard riding-outfit channels: world drops, horse-themed quest rewards, and the same vendor rotations that carry other riding-themed gear.

Why Run the Full Set

• Stacked +4 Horse XP Gain. Each saved point of horse XP per gameplay tick compounds quickly while riding, which makes the full set the single most cost-effective horse-progression buff currently in the game.

• Reduced taming difficulty. The Horse Taming Difficulty modifier on the riding pieces makes initial taming attempts more forgiving, which is especially helpful for the high-tier wild horses found in late-game regions.

• Cosmetic cohesion. The four pieces share a visual style; players who care about outfit silhouettes get a clean look without mixing armor families.
