Pororin Forest

Initial version with overview, Shai village, access quests, services, and tips
Pororin Forest is a dense woodland located to the east of Hernand. The heavy scent of blossoms and the sunlight filtering through the thick canopy create a warm, mystical atmosphere. Rumors persist of a mirage-like village inhabited solely by children, and travelers passing through the area often claim to hear the sound of children's laughter echoing through the trees.
The village is real: Pororin Village is home to the Shai, a race of small, childlike forest dwellers who fiercely guard their home from outsiders. The village is initially inaccessible, and approaching it will result in the Shai shooting Kliff with tranquilizer darts and carrying his limp body away. Gaining entry requires completing a short sidequest.
Pororin Forest is situated south of Hernand, well past the Greymane Camp at Howling Hill. The closest landmarks are the Goldleaf Guildhouse and the Sanctum of Temperance. The village itself lies east of the Emberwind Workshop, hidden deep within the forest canopy.
To enter Pororin Village, you must complete the The Unreachable Village sidequest.
If you approach the village and get knocked out by the Shai's tranquilizer darts three times, a Shai child named Arkin will appear once Kliff regains consciousness. Arkin explains that the village chief's hat (the Relic of Pororin) has been taken by a giant walking tree, an Ent, and asks for help retrieving it.
The Ent is actually friendly and will not attack. Players must climb nearby cliffs, jump, and glide onto the Ent's trunk to reach the relic at the top of its canopy. After retrieving the Relic of Pororin and returning it to Arkin, players are granted permanent access to the village.
Once unlocked, Pororin Village offers several useful services not found in many other locations.

After gaining access to Pororin Village, players can accept the Children of the Woods quest from The Shai Resident, who provides a Traveler's Log Book and asks Kliff to find four Shai children scattered across the world of Pywel.

After locating all four Shai, return to Pororin Forest and speak with Polan to complete the quest. The reward is the Pororin Petal Hat.
The Shai are a race of small, childlike beings who live in harmony with the forest. They are fiercely protective of Pororin Village and will incapacitate any uninvited visitors with tranquilizer darts. Despite their small stature, the Shai are skilled herbalists, researchers, and craftspeople. Their knowledge of the natural world is reflected in the village services they offer, including research that can permanently enhance a player's gathering abilities.
Do not fight the Shai when they knock you out with tranquilizer darts. Getting knocked out three times triggers the quest that grants village access.
The Ent that carries the Relic of Pororin is not hostile. Climb it instead of attacking it.
Once the village is unlocked, you can pass through Pororin Forest freely on your way to other destinations, making it a useful shortcut.
The Dyehouse in Pororin Village is one of the few places to recolor armor, so visit here if you want to customize your appearance.
