Patch 2.04.02 is an all-platform hotfix released on October 30, 2026, the day after Patch 2.04.00 launched alongside the Charting the Unknown expansion. It lists 17 changes. Most are fixes for the expansion's ocean, ship, marriage and management content; the rest cover NPC behavior, missing quest and challenge rewards, occasional crashes, waterfalls, an Oongka visibility problem and a graphics issue on one AMD driver. As of October 31, 2026 it is the newest version published on the official notice board.

The ship fire fix reads differently between language versions of the notes. The English text describes catching fire and being unable to board a ship, while the Korean text describes being knocked off the ship after catching fire while aboard.
At launch, many players reported the pioneering dispatch for Auronui, the first island most players reach, stalling at 100%. The 2.04.02 notes add the pioneering notification above but do not say that this stall was fixed.
The hotfix was listed as available on Steam for PC and Mac, PlayStation, Xbox and the Epic Games Store on release day. The Mac App Store build was listed as coming later (in progress).
2.04.02 follows the October 30, 2026 all-platform hotfix for 2.04.00, which kept the displayed version at 2.04.00, and the 2.04.00 launch patch of October 29, 2026.
