Palmar Leaf is a cooking ingredient in Crimson Desert. A leaf obtained from a glowing flower, its shape resembling a palm. Its surface, imbued with light, is its defining feature, but it is easily damaged, making it difficult to gather intact. Found only in regions rich with the energy of nature.

The Palmar Leaf is a gathering material used in both standard and refined palmar pills. It grows in distinct patches across multiple regions, and every patch also contains Palmar Beetle spawns, so a single trip nets both ingredients.
Region | Spot | Notes |
|---|---|---|
Pit with central tree surrounded by water | Triple aerial force palm and glide from the nearby fast travel point. | |
Mountain of the Frozen Soul (south) | Easy patch to circle on foot. | |
Patch around the southern elder tree. | ||
Harnandian ruins (west side of map) | Best spot for spotting beetles between leaf clusters. |
Gathering is RNG-based: most pulls give nothing, but a successful pull drops two or three leaves. The Kuku Gardening Pack auto-gathers every leaf in range with L2 plus R2 once unlocked late in the game.
The Palmar Leaf is a required ingredient for the Palmar Pill and the upgraded Refined Palmar Pill. For the refined version, the Improvise input order at any cauldron is Palmar Leaf, Palmar Beetle, Ginseng or Longcorn, then water. Full walkthrough at Palmar Pill Recipe and Farming. You can also buy single leaves from the rebuilt Pailune merchant after Chapter 9.
Community farming videos converge on three specific spots for mass Palmar Leaf collection. All three also drop Palmar Beetle, so a single trip fuels both ingredient needs for Refined Palmar Pill crafting.
Mountain of Frozen Souls waterfall: the patch just right of Mountain of Frozen Souls near the waterfall has the densest leaf growth of any known spot.
West of Scholar Stone Institute: the ruin approach just left of Scholar Stone Institute has clean ground cover so beetles are visible against the leaves.
Between Pin and Flowendell: the open stretch between Pywel (Pin) and Flowendell is the quietest of the three, with balanced leaf and beetle spawns.
Hand gathering is reliable but slow. The Kuku Gardener Pack clears an entire leaf patch in seconds when activated, and the Kuku Insect Gatherers Pack does the same for beetles. Running both at one spot is roughly 200 times faster than hand gathering and is the recommended setup once the late-game Kuku quests are cleared.
Before the Kuku packs are available, slotting the Blessing of Nature armor gear raises the extra-loot chance per pull. It stacks with leaf patches and is worth keeping equipped whenever a farming session is planned.
One Palmar Leaf is required per Refined Palmar Pill, which reduces to one leaf per revive. A full 100-stack of refined pills therefore requires 100 leaves on top of beetles and the substitute ingredient, which matches a short farm pass across the three DPJ spots.
