Overview

Leather Armors of the World, Vol. II is the second volume in the leather armor crafting manual series for Crimson Desert. Where Vol. I covers basic leather pieces available in the early game, this advanced manual unlocks higher-tier leather armor with better defense values and improved elemental resistance bonuses. The recipes in this volume require more refined materials and become accessible in the mid-game.

How to Obtain

Location: Inside the Totesmith Tannery.

The manual is found inside the Totesmith Tannery, a leather workshop in the mid-game regions. Look for the book on a table or shelf inside the building. Depending on the area, you may need to steal it by equipping a Mask to avoid reputation penalties.

As with all crafting manuals, reading it permanently unlocks the recipes at every smithy in Pywel.

Unlocked Armor Pieces

After reading this manual, additional leather armor pieces become available for crafting at any blacksmith. These pieces offer higher defense than Vol. I recipes and come with improved Fire Resistance bonuses.

Leather armor from this volume generally requires Thick Hide, Fine Leather, and occasionally Copper Ore as supplementary materials. Fine Leather is a rarer drop from mid-game beasts and can be purchased from specialty vendors in larger towns.

Vol. I vs. Vol. II

Tips

• If you plan on running leather armor through the late game, this manual is essential. The Vol. II pieces have enough defense and resistance to remain competitive through the endgame when fully refined.

• Stock up on Fine Leather before visiting the Totesmith Tannery area. Hunting mid-tier beasts in the Deleysia countryside is the most reliable source.

• Combine a full set of Vol. II leather armor with Fire Resistance Abyss Cores for maximum elemental protection.
