Status

The Iron Eagle currently appears in the in-game pet database as an eagle-type companion, but its unlock method and in-world location are not yet publicly confirmed at the time of writing. The wiki tracks it as a known pet slot pending community discovery; do not treat any specific farming spot for this bird as verified until the encounter is located in-game.

Based on the pattern of other legendary birds in the same database, the Iron Eagle is most likely tied to a world boss or hidden encounter rather than a standard Sigil of Bond tame. In particular, the Sighting of the Phoenix uses a defeat-then-summon loop where the player first downs the Phoenix in the open world, skins it for a feather, and then takes the feather to a witch to craft an Abyss summon item that registers the bird as a pet. The Iron Eagle's database entry reads similarly to the Phoenix's, so it is reasonable to expect a comparable defeat-then-summon path rather than the feeder-based tame used for standard eagles.
