Character Sliding

Sliding in Crimson Desert is a downhill movement technique. It only works on slopes and cannot be performed on flat ground.

• Step 1: Sprint toward a downhill slope by repeatedly tapping the dash button.

• Step 2: Once at full speed, press the crouch button to initiate a slide.

Controls

• Keyboard: Press C while sprinting downhill.

• PlayStation: Press L3 (left stick click) while sprinting downhill.

• Xbox: Press LS (left stick click) while sprinting downhill.

While sliding, you can steer left and right to control your direction. The slide ends automatically when you decelerate or reach flat ground.

Horse Drifting

Your mount can also drift while galloping downhill, which is required for certain challenges.

• Keyboard: Sprint with W + Shift, turn with A/D, then hold Alt to drift. Rock A/D back and forth to extend the slide.

• Xbox: Sprint (hold A), turn with the left stick, then hold B to drift.

• PlayStation: Sprint (hold X), turn with the left stick, then hold Circle to drift. Wiggle the left stick to steer and extend.

Tips

• Sliding is useful for quickly descending steep terrain without taking fall damage.

• Horse drifting takes practice. Start on gentle slopes before attempting challenge courses.
