How to Sleep
March 24, 2026 at 04:12 AM
Initial version covering sleeping and resting mechanics
Sleeping in Crimson Desert lets Kliff skip time and remove fatigue, which improves his effectiveness in combat. There are multiple ways to rest, including using beds and campfires scattered across Pywel.
Beds can be found in settlements, campsites, and your own house once you have built one. Approach an unoccupied bed and interact with it to lie down. You will then be prompted to choose how far to advance time: 3 hours, 6 hours, or 12 hours.
Villagers do not mind if Kliff uses their beds, so feel free to use any vacant bed you find in a settlement. The Greymane Camp unlocked during Chapter 3 has a bed inside the tent, and your personal house also provides a bed for resting at any time.
You can also rest at campfires and cooking pots found throughout the world. To use one, approach the fire and activate Focus mode by holding CTRL on keyboard or L1/LB on controller to lock on. Select the "Wait" option, then choose your time increment (3, 6, or 12 hours). A short cutscene plays before you resume control at the new time.
After resting, there is a built-in cooldown before Kliff can rest again. The game does not display an explicit timer for this, so plan your time increment carefully before confirming. Overshooting by choosing 12 hours when you only needed 3 means you will be locked out of resting for a while, which can be frustrating if you miss a quest window or vendor restock.
Best bed location: The Greymane Camp bed is the most convenient since it is near vendors, the Supply Chest, and other services.
Fatigue removal: Sleeping removes Kliff's accumulated fatigue, restoring his full combat performance.
Plan ahead: Pick the smallest time increment that meets your needs to avoid wasting the rest cooldown.
