The Hologram Projector drops from Merrick, the Knight of Fortune at the Crimson Mountains Fortress, located east of Tash Kalp. Merrick is a named knight boss who patrols the fortress grounds and must be defeated in a straight fight to earn the drop.
Merrick uses fire-themed attacks, so slot fire resistance into your armor and accessories before engaging. Bringing ranged weapons helps during the phases where he charges, and keeping a mix of heals and stun gear ready lets you punch through his combos without getting overwhelmed.
The Hologram Projector is a required crafting component for the 999K Pack kuku craft. Once the 999K Pack is built, activating it projects a traveling NPC trader hologram wherever you drop the pack. That lets you access a portable trader anywhere in the world for a short window, which is extremely strong for selling loot on long gathering or bounty runs.
