Applied Title Case to body headings
Hide Back Weapons is a Crimson Desert display feature that conceals weapons attached to the character's back outside of combat. A first pass shipped with Patch 1.03.00 on April 9, 2026 as part of the new Weapon Display system. Broader control over mounted-weapon visuals is part of the Developer Roadmap: April to June 2026.
The setting lives at Others > Settings > Languages and Gameplay under the Display Melee Weapons and Display Ranged Weapons options.
Category | Options |
|---|---|
Display Melee Weapons | All / Selected Only |
Display Ranged Weapons | Always / Only When Used |
Setting Display Melee Weapons to Selected Only and Display Ranged Weapons to Only When Used produces a clean silhouette in which most back-mounted gear disappears until the weapon is drawn.
Console (PS5 / Xbox): hold Options or the equivalent menu button, choose Others, then Settings, then the Languages and Gameplay tab.
PC: press ESC to open the main menu, choose Others, then Settings, then the Languages and Gameplay tab.
Players who collect multiple weapon types can build a show set without the character becoming visually cluttered.
Photo mode and cinematic scenes look less busy when only the active weapon is on display.
Some armor and cosmetic sets were designed around a clean back; the new setting makes those sets viable without giving up utility.
The setting is purely cosmetic and has no effect on damage, defense, or any gameplay stat.
The Developer Roadmap: April to June 2026 lists additional work on weapon display and similar cosmetic options throughout the April-June 2026 window, alongside more New Outfits (Roadmap) and cosmetic customization.
