Overview

The Helms Hyena is a temporary mount in Crimson Desert. These spotted hyenas are lean, fast predators that roam the arid and semi-arid regions of Pywel. While they lack the raw power of larger predators like bears or the Gristle Wolf, Helms Hyenas are nimble and quick, making them useful for covering ground in a hurry.

The Helms Hyena comes in multiple visual variations, giving players a chance to ride hyenas with different coat patterns. Regardless of variation, all Helms Hyenas share the same base stats.

Base Stats

At Level 1, the Helms Hyena has the following base stats:

The Helms Hyena is the most fragile predator mount in the game. With only 200 HP and 15 Evade, it goes down quickly under focused fire. Its 70 Attack is respectable but not exceptional. The hyena is best used for quick hit-and-run rides rather than prolonged combat.

How to Obtain

Helms Hyenas are found in the drier, warmer regions of Pywel. They are aggressive predators that can be subdued by fighting them until a Ride prompt appears. The 200 HP makes them one of the easiest predator mounts to subdue; a few strong attacks will bring one down.

Riding Behavior

The Helms Hyena is quick and agile, making it effective for darting between objectives. Like all predator mounts, dismounting causes the hyena to become hostile immediately.
