Overview

The Freshwater Crab is an Aquatic Animal found in rivers and streams across Pywel in Crimson Desert. It is logged under the Aquatic Creatures section of the Knowledge Codex.

Appearance

The Freshwater Crab is armed with armor and claws and is recognized by its distinctive sideways maneuver. It is cautious by nature, quickly retreating into rock crevices when it senses danger. Like other crabs, it has minimal edible material due to its small size and heavy shell.

Location and Habitat

Freshwater Crabs live along riverbanks and rocky stream beds. They favor areas with plenty of rocks and crevices where they can take shelter. Once discovered, the Knowledge Codex marks their habitat on your map for easy reference.

How to Gather

Freshwater Crabs can be picked up by hand in shallow water near rocks and riverbanks. They tend to scuttle away when approached, so move carefully. They may also appear while fishing in freshwater areas. See the Complete Fish List for other freshwater species.

Uses

Freshwater Crabs are a Cooking ingredient, though the small body and heavy shell yield limited edible portions. They can be cooked at campfires or kitchen stations alongside other ingredients.
