Five-Card Infinite Money Glitch
March 30, 2026 at 09:25 AM
Initial version
The Five-Card gambling minigame in Beighen is one of the fastest and most reliable ways to farm silver in Crimson Desert. By combining the game's predictable AI opponents with manual saves, players can turn 150 silver into 400 to 600 silver per session with virtually zero risk. The method is commonly referred to as the Five-Card infinite money glitch, though it is more accurately described as a save-scum exploit that takes advantage of rigid AI behavior.
The exploit works because AI opponents at the Five-Card table follow a fixed behavioral pattern. They rarely open the betting on their own, but they will call or raise almost any bet you place, even when holding a weak hand. This means that going all-in with a decent hand during the opening round regularly baits multiple opponents into dumping their entire stack into the pot. If you lose, you simply reload your save and try again.
Before attempting this method, you need the following:
Requirement | Details |
|---|---|
Minimum Silver | At least 150 silver for the buy-in. Starting with 300 or more is recommended so you have a cushion. |
Access to Beighen | Beighen is a village in the northern region of Pywel. Players automatically visit during Chapter 7: Homecoming, but it can be accessed earlier through free exploration. |
Manual Save Slot | A free save slot for creating a manual save before each session. This is essential for the save-scum loop. |
Cheat Ability (Optional) | The Cheat ability lets you inject a specific stick into your hand when dealing. Unlocking it increases win consistency but is not required for the exploit. |
The core of this exploit relies on two factors: the predictable AI calling behavior and the ability to reload saves when things go wrong. In a standard Five-Card session, you sit down with 150 silver and compete against up to four AI opponents. Each opponent also buys in for a similar amount, putting roughly 750 silver total on the table across all players.
AI opponents in Five-Card are programmed to be reckless during the opening round. They will frequently call an all-in bet regardless of their hand strength. In the later rounds, they become more conservative, but by that point the damage is already done. If you push all-in with a strong opening hand, most or all opponents will match, creating a massive pot that you win outright if your hand holds.
Because you save before every session, a loss costs you nothing. You simply reload and run the table again with a fresh deal. Over time, you keep every win and erase every loss, which is why the method functions as an effectively infinite money source.
Travel to Beighen. Head to the village of Beighen in northern Pywel. The Five-Card table is located inside a small one-room house on the outskirts of town.
Create a manual save. Before sitting down at the table, open the menu and save your game to a manual save slot. This is the save you will reload if a session goes badly.
Buy in for 150 silver. Sit down at the Five-Card table and pay the 150 silver buy-in. You will be seated with up to four AI opponents.
Assess your opening hand. You are dealt five sticks. The game automatically combines three of them into a sum of 10, 20, or 30. The remaining two sticks form your hand. Check whether your hand is a Pair or better (ideally a Perfect Nine, Prime Pair, or Superior Pair).
Go all-in with a strong hand. If you have a Pair or better, select the all-in option immediately. The AI opponents will almost always call, flooding the pot with silver. If your hand is weak (no pair, low values), you can either check and wait for later rounds or fold and reload your save to try again.
Collect winnings or reload. If you win the hand, collect the pot. A successful all-in against multiple opponents can yield 300 to 600 silver from a single 150 silver buy-in. If you lose, reload your manual save and repeat from step 3.
Reset the table. After a win, leave the table. Rest at the bonfire outside Beighen or teleport to the nearest Abyss Nexus and return. This resets the AI opponents so you can run another session with fresh opponents and fresh pots.
Repeat. Save again before the next session and repeat the cycle. Each loop takes only a few minutes, and every session is pure profit since losses are erased by reloading.
The following table shows typical results from repeated Five-Card save-scum sessions. Actual earnings vary based on how many AI opponents call your all-in and the relative hand strengths.
Scenario | Buy-In | Typical Payout | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
Win against 1 opponent | 150 silver | 250 to 300 silver | Only one AI calls your all-in |
Win against 2 opponents | 150 silver | 350 to 450 silver | Common result in early rounds |
Win against 3 to 4 opponents | 150 silver | 450 to 600 silver | Best case; all opponents call |
Loss (reloaded) | 0 silver | 0 silver | No cost because the save is reloaded |
On average, a player running this method can expect to earn roughly 300 to 500 silver per successful session. Since each session takes only a few minutes including load times, this translates to approximately 500 to 1,000+ silver per hour of real-world play, depending on how quickly you can cycle through sessions.
The Cheat ability is an optional tool that increases the consistency of this exploit. When Kliff is the dealer, the Cheat ability lets you hold a button prompt during the deal to inject a specific numbered stick of your chosen color into your hand.
For Five-Card, the optimal cheat targets are a Red 3 or a Red 8. Drawing either of these puts you one step away from a Prime Pair (Red 3 + Red 8), which is the strongest possible hand and an automatic win regardless of what your opponents hold.
Play several rounds of Duo at the Hernand tavern (15 silver buy-in). The low stakes make this the safest place to practice.
Watch for an AI opponent that displays a blue outline during a round. This indicates they are cheating.
Select the option to observe that opponent. You need to observe a cheating opponent three times to unlock the Cheat ability for yourself.
Once unlocked, the Cheat ability is available in both Duo and Five-Card whenever Kliff is dealing.
Fold weak hands early. If your opening hand is a bust or has no pair, do not waste time playing it out. Reload your save immediately and try for a better deal.
Do not chase the final coins. Once you have won the bulk of the pot, leave the table rather than trying to clean out the last opponent. The remaining opponents become more conservative in later rounds, and the time spent grinding out small pots is better spent resetting for a fresh session.
Stack your starting silver. While 150 silver is the minimum buy-in, starting with a larger bankroll means you can play multiple consecutive sessions without needing to reload on a loss. This is useful once you are comfortable with the mechanics and want to play legitimately on weaker hands while saving the reload for truly bad beats.
Combine with bank investments. Once you have accumulated a few hundred silver, convert 500 silver into a gold bar at any bank and invest it for passive income. The save-scum method at the bank can also guarantee positive returns on High-Risk investments, creating a second layer of risk-free income.
Accuse cheaters when confident. If you spot an AI opponent cheating (blue outline), you can accuse them. A successful accusation permanently removes that opponent from the table. A failed accusation results in a temporary ban from the gambling den, so only accuse when you are sure.
As of March 2026, the Five-Card save-scum exploit remains functional in the current version of Crimson Desert. The rigid AI calling behavior and the ability to manually save before sessions have not been altered. Pearl Abyss has not publicly commented on whether this is considered an intended feature or a bug.
Because this method relies on a standard game mechanic (manual saving) rather than a technical bug, it is less likely to be patched than a traditional glitch. However, future updates could adjust the AI's betting behavior to make opponents more cautious about calling all-in bets, which would reduce the exploit's effectiveness without eliminating it entirely.
