Survive the Bleed Bandits ambush
A distressed woman stands southeast of Inksworth Bindery. She tells a convincing story about her child being gravely ill and needing specific herbs to prepare medicine. She asks you to follow her to the gathering spot.
Following the woman leads you to a remote area where the herbs are supposedly located. Upon arrival, it becomes clear the story was fabricated. Where the child was supposed to have collapsed, only Bleed Bandits are waiting. The woman was bait for the trap.
Defeat the Bleed Bandits to complete the quest. They attack in a group, so be prepared for a multi-enemy fight. The bandits are standard Hernand-region enemies and should not pose a significant challenge if you have been keeping your gear upgraded.
This quest does not provide any material rewards upon completion. The primary benefit is the experience gained from combat and contributing to the Tales from the Corners of Hernand quest series.
The quest is a good reminder to stay cautious of strangers in the Hernand countryside. Deceptive encounters like this are scattered throughout the region.
The Bleed Bandits in the ambush can be overwhelming if they surround you. Try to back up to a wall or narrow path so they cannot flank you.
This quest is part of the Tales from the Corners of Hernand series, which also includes Forest of Trickery, Where the Sweetness Stopped, and Woodcutter in Peril.
