Clockwork Insects are mechanical bugs found throughout the Delesyia region in Crimson Desert. These small flying machines roam in large swarms across the landscape and are a key crafting ingredient for the Kuku Watcher Pack. Unlike regular insects used in Alchemy, clockwork insects are entirely mechanical in nature and can only be collected using the Kuku Pack's vacuum ability.

Collecting Clockwork Insects requires the regular Kuku Pack, which is crafted from the blueprint obtained in the Sanctum of Penitence. Once you have the Kuku Pack crafted, equip it as your active ability in the right D-pad slot.
Head to Delesyia where huge numbers of mechanical clockwork insects roam the open landscape. While moving through the area (especially while farming other materials from mech enemies), you will frequently get swarmed by clusters of these bugs. When they gather around you, press L2 + R2 to activate the Kuku Pack. A blue light activates and the pack sucks in all nearby insects at a rapid rate. The cooldown on this vacuum ability is very fast, so you can use it repeatedly as new swarms appear.
A few minutes of farming in Delesyia will net you hundreds of clockwork insects, easily covering the 300 needed for the Kuku Watcher Pack recipe. The insects are so abundant that collecting them is more of a passive activity that happens alongside other material farming rather than a dedicated grind.
Clockwork insects are different from the regular insects used in Alchemy recipes. The base Kuku Pack collects clockwork bugs (the mechanical flying insects found in Delesyia), while the Kuku Insect Gatherer's Pack is a separate item optimized specifically for gathering regular organic insects for alchemy. Make sure you have the correct pack equipped for the type of insect you need.

You do not need to target individual insects. The Kuku Pack's vacuum pulls in all nearby clockwork bugs in a wide radius around you.
The vacuum cooldown is very fast, so keep activating it whenever you see a new cluster of insects nearby.
Collect clockwork insects passively while farming Electrical Components and Small Batteries from mech enemies in the same area. This saves time by gathering all your Kuku Watcher Pack materials in one trip.
If your Kuku Pack inventory fills up during collection, the excess insects are still counted. You do not lose progress.
