Overview

Beating Heart is a main quest in Crimson Desert and the sixth mission of Chapter 10: Counterattack, opening the Greater Firepower. With the ATAG secured after the Clockwork Insect Clash, the Greymanes shift from acquisition to deployment. Back at the Gorthak Ironworks, the mech is being upgraded and armed for real combat, while intelligence reports arrive about a major enemy force mobilizing to the east.

Objectives

1. Attend the briefing at the Gorthak Ironworks command center

2. Assist with the ATAG upgrade process (interactive cutscene)

3. Repel a scout patrol that attacks the Ironworks perimeter

4. Review the intelligence report with Oongka and the Forgekeeper

Walkthrough

The quest begins with a briefing scene where Oongka and the Forgekeeper discuss the ATAG upgrades. An interactive cutscene follows where you assist in installing new components. This is a scripted sequence with timed button prompts.

Mid-upgrade, a scout patrol from the eastern invasion force attacks the Ironworks perimeter. This is an on-foot combat encounter against roughly ten enemies. After clearing the scouts, return to the command center where intelligence reports reveal the full scope of the eastern threat.

Tips

• The scout patrol fight is on foot, not in the ATAG. Keep your personal equipment upgraded.

• After the quest, the ATAG receives additional weapon upgrades. Check the mech station for the changes.

• Speak with the Ironflame Orc NPCs for optional dialogue about their concerns regarding the eastern invaders.
