The Ancient Woodpole is a two-handed weapon in Crimson Desert. This spear offers 13 ATK along with an Attack Speed bonus of Lv. 1, making it one of the faster spear options at low attack tiers. As its name suggests, the Ancient Woodpole is a wooden polearm with a more primitive construction compared to forged metal spears.

The Ancient Woodpole can be found as world loot scattered throughout Pywel. Like most open-world loot in Crimson Desert, its spawn locations are randomized. It may also appear in treasure chests or as a drop from certain enemies. Check weapon merchants in towns such as Hernand as well, since some vendors stock lower-tier spears in their inventory.
The Attack Speed Lv. 1 bonus sets the Ancient Woodpole apart from other 13 ATK spears like the Alfonso Spear, which instead provides a Critical Rate bonus. Players who prefer faster attack animations in combat may find the Ancient Woodpole more comfortable to use. However, its lack of Abyss Gear slots (compared to craftable alternatives) limits long-term customization potential.
