Diederik at Redfox

A Familiar Voice at the Redfox Trading Post is another Record of the Greymanes reunion mission. The rumour going around is that someone is singing Greymane ballads near the Redfox Trading Post. That someone turns out to be Diederik, a surviving Greymane whose carefree attitude survived the Calphade War intact.

Ballads Rumor

Marius hands off the lead: investigate the singer at the trading post and see if it is one of your own. Kliff follows the singing to the post and finds Diederik mid-verse. The reunion is peaceful; there is no combat step attached.

Step by Step Walkthrough

1. Complete earlier Record of the Greymanes steps so Marius opens this rumour lead.

2. Speak with Marius at the Greymane Camp to receive the rumour.

3. Travel to the Redfox Trading Post.

4. Approach Diederik to trigger the reunion cutscene.

5. Return to Marius. Completion line: "You reunited with Diederik at the Redfox Trading Post."

Tips

• Diederik is a recurring face; he also shows up in the The One and Only, Diederik chain and the later The Wolf's Ballad tailor-unlock quest. Keep track of his spawn points across the map.

• The Redfox Trading Post is also a useful vendor hub. Sell off clutter while you are in the area.
