The Swordsman is the most versatile class. Good at tanking, good at damage, good at not dying. Beta testers described it as having "fun, reactive gameplay" with parry-based combat that feels like Dark Souls.
It was one of three classes playable in the June 2025 closed beta.
Stat | Value |
|---|---|
Type | Melee Fighter / Tank / DPS |
Armor | Medium or Heavy |
Resource | Rage |
Difficulty | Moderate - beginner-friendly with depth |
Slow and hard-hitting. Charged right-click generates Rage. Good for breaking armor and setting up bleed effects. You typically swap to this for burst damage, then switch back out.
The fast option. Great for sustained damage and critical hits. Timed parries feel satisfying. Most beta players used this as their main damage weapon.
The tank setup. Hold to block, or time it for a parry that knocks enemies down. Has some healing and crowd control skills. Invulnerability frames on certain abilities.
Rage builds when you attack or get hit. It drains when you're out of combat. Many skills do more damage or have shorter animations at higher Rage.
The recommended beta strategy was using Dual Blades for damage and swapping to Greatsword when you need Rage or crowd control.
The Swordsman is beginner-friendly but has depth. Unique parry effects that only this class gets.
The main weakness is that being a jack-of-all-trades means it doesn't excel at any single thing. Pure DPS classes will out-damage it, and pure tanks will be tankier.
