Bringer is presented in five languages across two administratively separate operations, and its vocabulary changed once during development. This page is the reference for all of it: which title is correct where, which script belongs to which region, how each world term is written in each language, and which forms are outdated or unofficial.
Titles
Language and region | Title | Script |
|---|---|---|
English, international | Bringer | Latin. The logo wordmark reads BRINGER in every region, including the Chinese, Japanese and Korean lockups |
Chinese, Mainland China | 凡应 | Simplified |
Chinese, overseas | 凡應 | Traditional |
Japanese | ブリンガ | Katakana |
Korean | 브링거 | Hangul |
The English title is singular. Every surface the studio controls, including the logo wordmark itself, the internal site identifiers, the official channel names and the reveal trailer title, uses Bringer. The plural "Bringers" survives only in the English page metadata, where the search engine title and the opening clause of the description use it. The keyword list on that same page uses the singular, and the Japanese, Korean and Chinese descriptions all use their own singular native forms. This wiki treats Bringers as an English localization slip and Bringer as the title.
The two Chinese titles are both correct for their own region and neither supersedes the other. Traditional 凡應 is used on the overseas presentation, which labels its own Chinese option 繁體中文; simplified 凡应 is used in Mainland China.
Two Regional Operations
Bringer is not one campaign translated five ways. There are two separate operations with separate surfaces, separate identifiers and separate schedules.
Aspect | Mainland China | Overseas |
|---|---|---|
Title | 凡应, simplified | Bringer, with 凡應 in traditional Chinese |
Surfaces | A full official site, a games platform page, and a mobile storefront listing with pre registration | A concept site in four languages, plus community and video channels |
Publisher | 澄境星壹, a subsidiary of the developer | None announced as of 21 September 2026 |
Status | Two closed tests completed (the second ended 4 September 2026), a large scale open test mentioned only in third party posts | Concept presentation and a single reveal trailer |
Internal record | Distinct platform record and a Mainland region code | A different platform record and an overseas region code |
The two are provably distinct records rather than one site served in two scripts, since the underlying platform identifiers and region codes differ. See Release and Platforms for what that means for availability.
Script and Locale Discipline
Three points are worth knowing before quoting any Chinese string from this game:
The overseas Chinese surface is labelled 繁體中文 by the operator own language switcher and uses traditional characters. The studio also described the Chinese version of the reveal trailer as the traditional Chinese one.
The developer name is written in simplified characters, 艺画开天, on every locale including the traditional Chinese one. A single page therefore mixes scripts, and seeing simplified characters on a page does not make that page a Mainland page.
The locale metadata on the overseas site reports the same value on all four language versions, including English, Japanese and Korean, so it is a content management system default and carries no information about which Chinese variant a page uses. Do not read it as a regional claim.
Glossary Bridge
Every term below is labelled with script and locale, because one Chinese string does not cover both regions.
English | Simplified, Mainland | Traditional, overseas | Japanese | Korean |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Ancient beasts | 巨兽 | 巨獸 | 巨獣 | 고대의 거수 |
Coexistence | 共生 | 共生 | 共生 | 공생 |
No English form | 凡星 (star rated characters), 达卡斯, 蛋波, 岩山城, 月洲, 圣宫, 万乘国, 白夜军 and the other Mainland site terms | Not attested overseas | Not attested | Not attested |
Thalassa and Arkiloth are the strongest of these, because the studio glosses both inline in its own running prose in traditional Chinese and in Korean. Thalastrider is aligned by consistent position across the keyword metadata of all four language pages rather than by an inline gloss, which is reliable but a step weaker; the Japanese has two official spellings, タラッサライダー on the concept site and タラストライダー in the official Japanese channel description. Bio-Cruisers is aligned by parallel sentence: the official traditional Chinese channel description says 「駕馭形態各異的海巡獸」 where the English says "command a variety of Bio-Cruisers", and the Japanese says 「多種多様なバイオクルーザーを駆使して」. The Korean channel description carries only the first sentence, so no Korean form is attested. Whether 海巡獸 and 隆舶 refer to the same creatures is not stated anywhere.
Superseded Terminology
The vocabulary changed between the 2023 and 2025 Mainland presentations, alongside a substantial rebuild of the project. Both terms below are simplified Chinese, Mainland locale, and both are historical:
傀人, the 2023 protagonist designation. Replaced by 海履者. Do not translate it as Thalastrider.
凡星, used in 2023 as a form of address, and used again in the August 2026 EP02 test notice as the category for star rated characters (5★凡星绯云). A 2025 community post announcing an in game story clip labels 蕾娜 a 凡星, which confirms it as the game's word for a playable character. It does not translate as Thalastrider. The title word 凡应 is likewise used for beings in the official lore, the seven founders of 圣宫.
These are not translation errors and the 2023 material that uses them was accurate for its moment. 傀人 is no longer current; 凡星 is, in a different sense. See Thalastrider and Development.
Unofficial Romanizations
Longbo is the Mandarin pinyin of 隆舶 and appears in older Chinese material and in write ups drawn from it. The official English form is Arkiloth.
Yungbak is a Korean language romanization of 隆舶. The official English form is Arkiloth.
Jeonghae is a Korean language romanization of 淨海. The official English form is Thalassa.
None of the three is a separate entity and none should be introduced as an alternative name. See Thalassa and Arkiloth.
Genre Positioning Differs by Region
Three of the four overseas language versions market Bringer as a long form narrative game, and the Japanese one does not.
Language | Genre as marketed |
|---|---|
English | Narrative-Driven Fantasy Action RPG |
Chinese, traditional | 長篇敘事幻想題材ARPG |
Korean | 장편 서사형 판타지 액션 RPG |
Japanese | オリエンタルファンタジーARPG, an Oriental fantasy action RPG |
The Japanese positioning appears both in the page metadata and in the Japanese tagline artwork, so it is a deliberate regional choice rather than a slip. Any single sentence describing the game's genre globally should not quietly drop it.
Taglines by Language
The motto and the prophecy are reproduced in full on the Setting and Story page. Note that the Mainland site renders the motto in simplified script with punctuation, as 凡心所愿,皆有其应, while the overseas traditional Chinese surface writes it 凡心所願 皆有其應. Both are the same line.
The reveal trailer was published in four language versions, titled Bringer | Reveal Trailer in English, 凡應 | 正式公開預告片 in traditional Chinese, 『ブリンガ』公式トレーラー in Japanese and 브링거 | 최초 공개 트레일러 in Korean. Official community and video channels exist separately for English, traditional Chinese, Japanese and Korean audiences.
