Originally a mortal warrior named Gene Evernight, he accepted Thiol's soul fragment representing the domain of Destruction during the Library Expedition. The power consumed him entirely, and the newly manifested god wreaked havoc upon Erenor.

55 The god Kyrios, through Gene's body, launched a war that nearly ended civilization. He killed Tahyang, the Wind God and a Firran member of the expedition. The gods Aranzeb and Inoch attempted to stop him, but Aranzeb was killed in the attempt. Nui and Inoch managed to separate Kyrios's soul from Gene's body, but the process caused a massive explosion that collapsed Auroria, destroying the ancient civilization and scattering its people across the world.

Goddess Nui is sealed with him to keep him contained, but her hold grows weaker over time. "No one can predict how strong Kyrios might become," according to the surviving texts. The fear that the God of Destruction might return shapes policy, religion, and personal choices across the entire world.

When the developers introduced the Warrior Class in July 2026, they framed it as inheriting the shadow of Kyrios, the God of Destruction, remembered as a peerless soldier who mastered every weapon he wielded. 2323 The July 2026 Warrior class introduction gave Chronicles' own account of who Kyrios was before his ascension, and it names him Jin Evernight. Earlier franchise material rendered the same name as Gene Evernight; the newer spelling is the one Chronicles itself uses.

2525 In that account Jin was a legendary Shadowhawk Twin Sword who fought alongside Tahyang, and as the Righthand Sword of Shadowhawk he was an unparalleled bladesman who could wield any weapon with what the text calls gladiatorial ferocity and matchless precision. Both order and chaos were made by his hand, and he was never defeated. When he returned from the Garden of the Gods he was no longer a warrior but Kyrios, the God of Destruction, granting victory to those who believe in him and ceaseless ruin to those who stand against him.

29+The Ranger class introduction that followed on 30 July 2026 filled in the other half of that pairing. It names Tahyang Kahlzit as the second Shadowhawk Twin Sword and as Jin's closest friend, and says Tahyang led the charge against him once Jin returned from the Garden of the Gods as Kyrios.
