Servers and Cross-Play
September 9, 2026 at 09:50 AM
Initial version (2026-09-09)
Aniimo is a cross-platform online game, and where a Pathfinder plays and who they can play with are set by two separate things: the platform the game runs on, and the regional server the account lives on.
Platform | Launch Date |
|---|---|
PC | September 16, 2026 |
PlayStation 5 | September 16, 2026 |
Xbox Series X and Series S | September 16, 2026 |
Xbox cloud gaming | September 16, 2026 |
iOS | September 23, 2026 |
Android | September 23, 2026 |
The launch is staggered by a week: PC, consoles and cloud go first, mobile follows. PlayStation support is PlayStation 5 only, with no PlayStation 4 version, and Xbox support is the ninth-generation consoles only, with no Xbox One version. On Xbox the game carries Play Anywhere, so a purchase on one Xbox platform carries to the other.
Mac was named as a launch platform in official mid-2026 material, and the game's own platform listing includes it, but the PC storefront listing that was live a week before launch declared Windows only with no Mac build attached. Treat Mac availability as announced rather than verified on day one.
The PC version is distributed through four storefronts rather than one, which is worth knowing because the paid pre-order packs are not sold on all of them.
Storefront | Base Game | Paid Editions |
|---|---|---|
Steam | Free | Not sold |
Epic Games Store | Free | Not confirmed |
Microsoft Store | Free | Sold |
Console stores | Free | Sold |
The international build runs on three named regional servers.
Server | Region |
|---|---|
Aniimo-Americas | The Americas |
Aniimo-Europe | Europe |
Aniimo-Apac | Asia and the Pacific |
These are the same three shards used during the closed beta, where they appeared under both short and long names, and the beta schedule ran them on their own local clocks: Apac on UTC+8, Europe on UTC+0, and the Americas on UTC-4. A character lives on one of them.
Mainland China is served separately from the international build, on its own site and its own storefront, with its own operator and its own publishing licence. Taiwan is handled by a regional agent.
Cross-platform multiplayer is a stated design pillar rather than an add-on, and it is listed as a capability on both the PC and Xbox versions. Cross-platform co-op and cross-platform multiplayer are both supported. Online multiplayer on Xbox consoles requires a Game Pass subscription tier that includes online play; the game itself does not require Xbox Live Gold.
The PlayStation version requires an online connection, supports Remote Play, and requires the DualSense controller's vibration and adaptive trigger functions.
The PC client ships in thirteen languages, five of them with full voice: English, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Traditional Chinese and Korean carry full audio, and French, German, Russian, Indonesian, Thai, Brazilian Portuguese, Latin American Spanish and Vietnamese are text only. Multi-language voiceover for the main story was added for launch, and translation quality was improved across every supported language at the same time.
The Xbox listing declares a wider set of locales than the PC client does. Where the two disagree, the PC client's thirteen are the ones tied to the actual game build.
