Pathfinder Markings leave a message in the overworld for other players. They can include a photograph or a text-only note.
For a photo marking, take a picture from the Quick Menu and choose the text-bubble button beside Save Photo. For text alone, use the same speech-bubble symbol in the main menu's side bar.
Add a caption, choose the photo-sharing options if applicable, and confirm the marking. Posting costs 500 Credits.
Mark visibility is controlled through Settings, Game, Mark Sharing. This includes separate settings for your own, friends', and strangers' markings.
The feature is introduced after An Idyllic Trip when you inspect a marking in the world. Photo Mode covers taking and composing photographs.
