Mingpu District is Chongxiao's riverside urban core and the most built-up of the three Chongxiao locations published on August 25, 2026 alongside the Gamescom 2026 announcement. It is where the second city's institutional and technological life is concentrated.
Old and New
The official description is built around a single contrast. Skyscrapers of glass and steel stand mixed with low-lying brick houses, and the long-established Lingjing Supervisory Agency operates alongside cutting-edge technology firms. The text calls it a place where the ancient and the modern collide, and describes the result as a distinctive riverside region.
Zenith Tower is the district's named landmark. The description places everything in the district under its shadow, marching toward the future, and then adds the qualifier that not everyone can keep up. That is the closest the location text gets to a social read on Chongxiao: the city is modernising faster than some of its residents.

Mingpu is the Chongxiao counterpart to the dense, institutional side of Nova City. Where Nova City's downtown is described in terms of attention and consumption, Mingpu is described in terms of institutions and pace. Both cities have an organisation dedicated to Chaos, but Nova City's A.C.D. is presented as a task force while the Lingjing Supervisory Agency is presented as a civic body with a wider remit.
