11 Somu the Dreamer is an NPC encountered in the late portion of the Alabaster Dawn launch content. Somu acts as the gateway to Roguelite Mode, the dream-world challenge layer added at Early Access launch. The Dreamer is the source of the Sleep Token vendor menu and the curator of the blessings that Juno can earn inside a roguelite run.

88 Somu is a strange entity Juno comes across during her travels on Tiran Sol, and the dream itself opens up towards the end of the plot included in the Early Access release. Community mapping places the first meeting at Somu's Rest, the ruins of a Chosen training lodge west of Old Farm in the Aurum Plains, where Somu has taken up residence; reaching the lodge requires Corran Solas. Access to the Dream itself opens through the Dream Within a Dream story, which becomes available near the end of Chapter 2. Approaching Somu opens the Roguelite Mode menu and offers Juno a first run.

1212 Run entry. Talking to Somu starts a Roguelite Mode run. Runs can be restarted at any later checkpoint by returning to Somu.Sleep Token vendor. The Dreamer's dialogue frames Roguelite Mode as a training space inside the dream rather than a parallel timeline, and the rewards as fragments of the dream brought back to the waking world. Tone-wise, Somu reads as melancholic and patient, in contrast to the more direct quest-giver NPCs in Lyhamn.
