The only documented way to apply it in the current Early Access build is with the Epic tier of the Drake's Double-Barreled Pistol. It is the defining utility debuff for burst-setup pistol-melee rotations. In the live build it is the only documented effect that raises an enemy's incoming damage, so it functions as a pure force-multiplier opener rather than a damage source of its own.

The practical effect on a boss fight is a meaningfully shorter kill time across the duration of the debuff, without affecting the player's own loadout costs. Because the bonus is multiplicative, it stacks cleanly with Mastery-driven critical damage and with high base-damage weapons such as the Blunderbuss family, making the opening pistol shot one of the highest-value actions in a burst window.
