Overview

Mystery of the Expedition is a side quest in Windrose, tracked internally in the in-game quest log as "Secret of the Expedition".

As if the marks on my body weren't enough, now I seem to be seeing ghosts talking about some kind of Spanish expedition.

Completion Text

Narrative journal line the game writes once the final stage closes out:

"Among the Spaniard's belongings was a medallion identical to the one my father gave me before my first voyage. Doesn't seem like a coincidence. How did my family come to possess it? And what was the Order Juan De La Cosa mentioned? Perhaps one day I'll find the answers…"

Stages

The numbered flow below mirrors the objective list in the quest log. Each entry shows the in-game objective title, the journal description the player sees when the stage becomes active, and any stage-bound Required Items or Rewards.

Stage 1: Learn more about the expedition

I was visited by the ghost of a Spanish sailor. His words were mysterious, yet intriguing. I should find the remaining graves to learn more.

Stage 2: Find the expedition ship

Seems this isn't the first time the archipelago has dealt with the undead. A ghost near one of the graves mentioned heading to a meeting place near Turtle Island… that could mean Tortuga. I'll try to find his ship. The undead likely stopped it before it reached port.

Stage 3: Search the shipwreck

The ship truly was badly wrecked here. It's surrounded by the drowned. I should clear the decks and look around.
