Officer spawns are not guaranteed on every clear, so expect to run the outpost loop more than once; clearing the surrounding patrols first makes the elite officer safer to fight.

The matching key for the other captain is Richards' Crew Key, which works only on Coastal Jungle chests; the two keys are not interchangeable, so carry the right one for the region you are clearing. The key stacks up to 20, so spare copies can be saved for repeat visits.
