Reading it permanently teaches three ship-model decorations: Brig in a Bottle, Brig in a Bottle (Water), and Brig on a Stand. All three are purely cosmetic display pieces that show a scale model of the Brig, a mid-size hull used as both a warship and a cargo runner. They suit a captain's quarters, study, or trophy shelf and carry no gameplay stats of their own.
