Revision 1

Tasha is the patron Kaatri bargains with in Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons and the source of her magic. Official material describes her as an ancient and powerful witch whose pact grants Kaatri forbidden magic, for a price, and the game's own site refers to her simply as the witch Tasha. She is voiced and performance-captured by Maggie Robertson.

Profile

What the Pact Does

The bargain is the game's premise. Kaatri wants to find someone she has lost, Tasha can give her the means, and the price is left deliberately unstated. Beyond granting spells, Tasha teaches Kaatri to sense Raw Magic, described as power hidden throughout Darkon that lets Kaatri expand and transform her magical ability. That teaching relationship is why Tasha stays present in the campaign rather than appearing once at the start.

One of the ten published spells carries her name. Tasha's Leash pulls objects and creatures to Kaatri and lets her throw some of what she catches, and developers have described it as new to this game rather than adapted from elsewhere.

How She Is Written

Tasha is not a benign mentor. Short official scenes give her lines such as asking Kaatri whether she still thinks this is her quest, telling her she has seen her heart's desire, and observing that magic serves them both. Creators who played the hands-on build described her as spooky, as chaotic, as someone you would have to be desperate to make a pact with, and as difficult to read because she can go either way. The developers' own summary of the class fantasy is that a warlock makes a dangerous and very costly pact with a powerful being, and in this game's case that being is a very powerful witch.

A Note on Her Nature

Beyond witch, ancient and powerful, nothing about what Tasha is has been confirmed by the game itself. She has not been given a species, a classification, a history or a set of motives in any material the game has published. One announcement post applied a different label to her, but the game's own site and its own channel both call her a witch, and this wiki follows the game. Anything further about her nature belongs to material outside this game and is not documented here.
